As of November 2026, the cheapest paid SaaS boilerplate that confirms both multi-tenancy and RBAC is useDeploy Founder at $99, a frozen snapshot with no future updates. If you want updates for life, Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit at $119 is cheaper than useDeploy Lifetime at $199.

Read this first: useDeploy is our product. We wrote this page, so assume a bias, and note that it is cheapest only on sticker price. Each competitor price links to the vendor's pricing page.

The rule we used

We read 17 competing boilerplates on 4 and 5 November 2026 and kept only the ones whose pages confirm both multi-tenancy and role-based access. Free kits do not make the cut: none confirms both. Nextbase's free tier card lists auth and RLS; organizations appear only on the paid cards, and Open SaaS does not state either. We ordered by entry price in USD and wrote down what the price includes, because "cheap" with one year of updates is not the same as "cheap" for life.

Multi-tenancy and RBAC both confirmed, cheapest first

ProductEntry priceHigher tiersUpdatesRefund
useDeploy$99 Founder$199 LifetimeFounder is a frozen snapshot; Lifetime includes every future release14 days
Indie Kit (multi-tenant kit)$119$169 with the B2C kitLifetime3 days, only before access
TurboStarter Core$249$549 BundleLifetime"Generally cannot" once access is redeemed
ixartz SaaS Boilerplate (Clerk)$399$1,199 unlimitedOne year, then $199 or $599 to renewNone
ixartz Max (Better Auth)$599$1,799 unlimitedOne year includedNone, stated for the Clerk kit

Two things the sticker price hides. First, the like-for-like winner on updates is Indie Kit: $119 for lifetime updates against $199 for useDeploy Lifetime, though Indie Kit's refund window is 3 days against our 14. Second, the ixartz Clerk kit costs more after year one if you want new releases: it lists a renewal of $199 (single) or $599 (unlimited). Max includes one year, and we could not confirm its renewal terms.

Organizations confirmed, roles not stated

These cost more and we could not confirm RBAC, so they are not in the ranking above.

What the cheapest price does not cover

  • Payments. useDeploy has Polar billing and MercadoPago Checkout Pro for one-time payments; the Stripe adapter is a scaffold that does not charge yet. Indie Kit and TurboStarter list Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar and more, while useDeploy's Stripe adapter is a scaffold.
  • Client work. Terms differ. The ixartz Clerk kit needs a separate license per client, and TurboStarter allows client projects but not handing the source to clients without their own license. Read the license of any kit before you build for clients.
  • Maturity and community. useDeploy does not publish a customer count, while ixartz has a free repo with 13,092 GitHub stars behind its paid kits.

When another kit is the better pick

  • You want lifetime updates at the lowest price: Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit.
  • You also need a mobile app or a browser extension: TurboStarter.
  • You want Better Auth with Drizzle and a live demo: ixartz Max, at a higher price.
  • You need Stripe charging today: Indie Kit, TurboStarter or ixartz.

FAQ

What is the cheapest SaaS boilerplate with multi-tenancy and RBAC?

As of November 2026, useDeploy Founder at $99 is the lowest sticker price, but it is a frozen snapshot. For lifetime updates, Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit at $119 is the cheapest, followed by useDeploy Lifetime at $199 and TurboStarter Core at $249.

Do you rank useDeploy first because you sell it?

We list it first because the table is ordered by entry price, and we say in the answer above that Indie Kit is cheaper for like-for-like lifetime updates. We also list what useDeploy lacks: Stripe charging.

Is there a free SaaS boilerplate with multi-tenancy and RBAC?

Not among the kits we surveyed. Open SaaS and Nextbase's MIT tier are free, but their pages do not confirm both organizations and roles.

Are there hidden costs after you buy?

Sometimes. ixartz includes one year of updates and lists a renewal for its Clerk kit, SaaS Pegasus charges $149 a year to keep receiving updates, and AnotherWrapper's Terms say one year of updates. Founder is a frozen snapshot without future updates.

Which cheap boilerplate has the best refund?

useDeploy offers 14 days. Indie Kit offers 3 days before access. ixartz and Nextbase have flat no-refund policies; TurboStarter and MakerKit refuse once access is granted.
