A multi-tenant SaaS boilerplate lets many customer organizations share one app, each with its own members and roles. This page compares the kits that confirm it, with prices as of November 2026, and groups them by how much of the multi-tenant surface the vendor actually documents.

Read this first: useDeploy is our product. We wrote this list, so assume a bias. Each competitor price links to the vendor's pricing page and what we could not confirm is marked "—". Seat tiers (1, 5, 10 developers) are about how many developers use the kit, not how many tenants your app has.

How we grouped them

From 17 competing boilerplates read on 4 and 5 November 2026, we kept the ones whose pages mention organizations, teams or multi-tenancy. We grouped them by what the page confirms:

  • Group 1: organizations and roles confirmed. The page mentions both.
  • Group 2: organizations or teams confirmed, roles not stated. Roles may exist; we could not confirm them.
  • Not confirmed on the page: ShipFast, AnotherWrapper, MkSaaS, LaunchFast, Open SaaS, next-forge. ShipAny confirms roles in its admin panel but not tenancy. Bedrock mentions teams but its page looks unmaintained (no App Router or AI), so it is left out.

Best multi-tenant boilerplate by use case

  • Lowest price with organizations and roles both confirmed: useDeploy Founder ($99, frozen snapshot) and Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit ($119, lifetime updates). Compare like for like: useDeploy Lifetime is $199.
  • Best if you also need mobile or a browser extension: TurboStarter.
  • Best on Better Auth with Drizzle and roles: ixartz Max, with a live demo.
  • Best on Supabase: MakerKit or Nextbase. MakerKit's homepage demo shows its agent following a rule to enable row-level security on new tables.
  • Best for selling to teams in Latin America: useDeploy, with MercadoPago Checkout Pro (one-time payments only) next to Polar.
  • Best outside the JavaScript world: SaaS Pegasus, if you want Django.
  • Best if agents act on behalf of your customers: Nextbase, whose MCP server is scoped to the user's organization and role.

Organizations and roles are the visible part. The part that decides whether a bug leaks data is how the kit stops one tenant reading another's rows. Ask every vendor how. Ours is described in Multi-tenancy in Prisma without RLS: a tenant guard that fails loud, and the agency angle is in Reusing one multi-tenant base across every client and on the agencies page.

When another kit is the better pick

  • You need Stripe charging today: MakerKit, Nextbase, TurboStarter, supastarter, ixartz and others list Stripe. The Stripe adapter in useDeploy is a scaffold.
  • You sell to agencies and need seat tiers and white-label: supastarter's Agency plan ($1,499, up to 10 seats) is built for that.
  • You want a different framework: supastarter adds Nuxt and TanStack Start, Nextbase adds TanStack Start, Pegasus is Django.

If you arrived from a ShipFast search, ShipFast alternatives covers leaving that kit, and the ShipFast alternative page has the feature matrix. For the whole market see Best Next.js SaaS boilerplates in 2026, and for the buy-or-build question read Is it worth buying a SaaS boilerplate in 2026?.

FAQ

What is the best multi-tenant SaaS boilerplate?

There is no single best one. As of November 2026, the kits that confirm both organizations and roles are useDeploy, Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit, TurboStarter and ixartz. Pick on price, stack and payments: useDeploy for MercadoPago, TurboStarter for mobile, ixartz Max for Drizzle and Better Auth, MakerKit or Nextbase for Supabase.

Do you put useDeploy first because you sell it?

No. It appears first in Group 1 because that table is sorted by entry price, and its $99 Founder tier is a frozen snapshot. The picks send you to other kits wherever they fit better, and we list what useDeploy lacks: Stripe charging (the adapter is a scaffold) and seat tiers.

Is a seat tier the same as multi-tenancy?

No. Seat tiers such as 1, 5 or 10 developers limit how many developers can use the kit. Multi-tenancy is a feature of the app you build: many customer organizations in one deployment.

Which multi-tenant boilerplate has role-based access control?

Of the kits we surveyed, useDeploy, Indie Kit's multi-tenant kit, TurboStarter and ixartz state roles or RBAC on their pages. MakerKit, Nextbase, supastarter and SaaS Pegasus confirm organizations or teams but do not state roles.

How do multi-tenant kits stop one customer seeing another's data?

It varies and most sales pages do not say. Some rely on database row-level security, others on checks in code. Ask the vendor, and read the isolation tests if there are any.
