Best Next.js SaaS boilerplates in 2026: 15 compared by price and features

Fifteen SaaS boilerplates side by side as of November 2026: price, updates, refunds, multi-tenancy, payments and agent guardrails, ranked by use case.

MC
Martin Coll

This is a comparison of 15 SaaS boilerplates, with prices and features as of November 2026. It is sorted by entry price, not by who we like, and it ends with a pick for each use case.

Read this first: useDeploy is our product. We wrote this list, so assume a bias. To keep it checkable, every competitor price links to that vendor's own pricing page, features we could not confirm are marked "—" instead of guessed, and useDeploy sits fifth in the tables and leads the use-case picks only where it is objectively different.

Two entries are not Next.js kits in the strict sense and are labelled in the table: SaaS Pegasus is Django, and Open SaaS is built on the Wasp framework. They are here because they are the products developers compare against.

How we collected this

We read the live sales pages of 17 competing SaaS boilerplates on 4 and 5 November 2026. We bought nothing and submitted no forms. Anything we could not confirm on a live page is left as "—", which means "not confirmed in our survey", not "absent". Third-party prices change often: check the vendor page before you buy. Prices are in USD, one-time payments unless noted, and struck-through "launch" prices are ignored.

"Rules" means instructions the agent is asked to follow. "Blocking hooks" and "ESLint-enforced layers" mean a check that fails when the agent breaks the rule. See AGENTS.md is table stakes, enforcement is the moat for why we treat them as different things.

Best by use case

  • Best if you charge in Latin America: useDeploy. None of the 17 competitors we surveyed lists MercadoPago, and useDeploy ships Checkout Pro. The limits are real: one-time payments only, and the Stripe adapter is a scaffold that does not charge yet. If you need recurring MercadoPago billing, no kit in this list covers it today.
  • Best for agencies and teams that need seats: supastarter Agency ($1,499, up to 10 seats, unlimited client projects, white-label), AnotherWrapper Agency ($999, same shape) and Nextbase Business ($849, up to 10 members). useDeploy has no seat tiers.
  • Best free: Open SaaS (MIT, 16.2k GitHub stars, Wasp) if you accept the framework; next-forge (MIT, by Vercel) for a Turborepo base that is Stripe only; Nextbase's free tier if you want Supabase with auth and RLS.
  • Best with Supabase: MakerKit (a Supabase stack) and Nextbase (Supabase, Neon, Convex or Cloudflare D1 backends). useDeploy runs its own Express API and Prisma instead.
  • Best if your agent writes the code: it depends on whether you want rules or enforcement. Nextbase and MakerKit have the widest agent kits (MCP, skills, rules). AnotherWrapper and useDeploy are the two that block bad changes with hooks. AnotherWrapper does it with a Claude Code plugin; useDeploy does it with ESLint layer rules plus Claude Code hooks.
  • Lowest entry price: LaunchFast ($49), Indie Kit ($79), then useDeploy Founder ($99) and MkSaaS ($129). Founder is a frozen snapshot, so compare Lifetime ($199) when you want updates.
  • Best for the largest community: ShipFast, which cites 8,446 makers and a founder audience. useDeploy does not publish a customer count.

When another kit is the better pick

  • You need Stripe charging today: ShipFast, MakerKit, supastarter, Nextbase, TurboStarter, ixartz and others all list Stripe as a provider. The Stripe adapter in useDeploy is a scaffold.
  • You want mobile or a browser extension from the same kit: TurboStarter covers web, React Native and an extension.
  • You want a framework other than Next.js: LaunchFast adds Astro and SvelteKit, supastarter adds Nuxt and TanStack Start, and Pegasus is Django.
  • You want the biggest published audience: ShipFast cites 8,446 makers, SaaS Pegasus 1,911, Indie Kit 1,558+ and supastarter 1,516; ixartz has shipped since 2020.
  • You want a free base and plan to pay later: Open SaaS, next-forge or Nextbase's MIT tier.

If you are still deciding whether to buy at all, read Is it worth buying a SaaS boilerplate in 2026?. If you are leaving ShipFast specifically, see ShipFast alternatives and the ShipFast alternative page. Head-to-heads: useDeploy vs MakerKit and useDeploy vs supastarter.

FAQ

Do you put useDeploy first because you sell it?

No. The tables are sorted by entry price, and useDeploy is not first in either. In the use-case picks it leads only where it is different: MercadoPago Checkout Pro for Latin America, and architecture rules enforced by ESLint and Claude Code hooks. Where another kit is stronger (payment providers, mobile, community) we say so and name it.

What is the cheapest paid Next.js SaaS boilerplate in 2026?

As of November 2026, LaunchFast is the cheapest at $49 for one framework, then Indie Kit at $79, useDeploy Founder at $99 and MkSaaS at $129. Open SaaS, next-forge and Nextbase's MIT tier are free. Compare what each includes before you decide: multi-tenancy, roles and updates differ a lot.

Which SaaS boilerplates offer a refund?

Of the paid kits listed, AnotherWrapper gives 30 days, useDeploy 14 days, SaaS Pegasus 7 days and Indie Kit 3 days before you get access. ShipAny, LaunchFast, Nextbase and ixartz have flat no-refund policies (ixartz states it for its Clerk kit). ShipFast, MakerKit, MkSaaS and TurboStarter refuse once access is granted. supastarter does not mention refunds.

Which SaaS boilerplate supports MercadoPago?

None of the 17 competitors we surveyed in November 2026 lists MercadoPago. useDeploy supports Checkout Pro one-time payments with signed webhooks. Recurring billing through it is not available yet, and the Stripe adapter is a scaffold that does not charge.

Which boilerplate is best if I build with Claude Code or Cursor?

Nextbase, MakerKit, supastarter and TurboStarter ship rules, skills or an MCP server for your agent. AnotherWrapper and useDeploy go further and block changes that break the rules, with hooks and lint. The right choice depends on whether you want guidance or enforcement.

Are the prices in this list up to date?

They were read from each vendor's pricing page on 4 and 5 November 2026. Vendors change prices often and several run permanent discounts, so confirm on the linked page before you pay.
