Better Auth is a TypeScript auth library, and a growing number of SaaS starters are built on it. This page lists the paid kits whose own sales pages say they use it, with prices and features as of November 2026, and explains which one fits which project.

Read this first: useDeploy is our product. We wrote this list, so assume a bias. Every competitor price links to that vendor's pricing page, anything we could not confirm is marked "—", and where another kit is the better pick we say so below.

Which kits made the list

We read the live pages of 17 competing boilerplates on 4 and 5 November 2026. Four of them name Better Auth as their auth layer: MakerKit, ixartz Max, AnotherWrapper and MkSaaS. useDeploy is the fifth. Kits whose pages do not state their auth library are left out instead of guessed. One more note: ixartz sells two kits, one with Clerk and one with Better Auth (Max). Only Max is here; for the Clerk kit see our multi-tenant roundup.

Comparison

Sorted by entry price, in USD. "—" means we could not confirm it, not that it is missing.

Updates differ and matter more than they look. MkSaaS, MakerKit and useDeploy Lifetime promise updates for life. AnotherWrapper's homepage says lifetime while its Terms say one year of free updates. ixartz Max includes one year. useDeploy Founder is a frozen snapshot. Live demos: MkSaaS, AnotherWrapper, MakerKit and ixartz have one; useDeploy offers a free account (sign up to explore the dashboard) instead.

Best Better Auth boilerplate by use case

  • Best if you want Better Auth with Prisma and a separate API: useDeploy, or MakerKit's Prisma 7 stack. Both give you organizations. useDeploy comes with an Express API on Bun, and MakerKit lets you choose among three stacks.
  • Best if you prefer Drizzle and want organizations plus roles: ixartz Max. It is the most expensive here ($599) and the only competitor in this list that confirms both organizations and roles, with a live demo.
  • Best for an AI product (chat, RAG, agents): AnotherWrapper. Better Auth plus Drizzle and eight finished AI apps, with a 30-day refund.
  • Best for lowest price: MkSaaS ($129) for a single Next.js template with payments and a blog, or useDeploy Founder ($99) if you accept a frozen snapshot.
  • Best if you charge in Latin America: useDeploy, the only kit in our survey with MercadoPago Checkout Pro. It handles one-time payments only.
  • Best if you want to choose your stack: MakerKit. One license covers one stack and switching is discounted.

When another kit is the better pick

  • You need Stripe charging today: MakerKit, AnotherWrapper, MkSaaS and ixartz Max list Stripe. The Stripe adapter in useDeploy is a scaffold.
  • You want hosted auth instead of a library: ixartz also sells a Clerk-based kit.
  • You want the fastest release cadence and the most stacks: MakerKit lists 66 changelog releases since May 2024 and 8 kits across 4 frameworks.

FAQ

Which SaaS boilerplates use Better Auth?

As of November 2026, the paid kits whose pages name Better Auth are MakerKit (Drizzle and Prisma 7 stacks), ixartz Max, AnotherWrapper, MkSaaS and useDeploy. Pages that do not state the auth library are not counted.

Do you put useDeploy first because you sell it?

No. The table is sorted by entry price, which happens to put useDeploy first because Founder is $99, but it is a frozen snapshot. The picks name other kits where they fit better: ixartz Max for Drizzle with roles, AnotherWrapper for AI apps, MakerKit for choosing your stack.

What is the cheapest Better Auth boilerplate?

useDeploy Founder at $99 is the lowest sticker price but is a frozen snapshot without future updates. MkSaaS at $129 promises lifetime updates and is the cheapest of the others. Neither MkSaaS's page nor AnotherWrapper's confirms multi-tenancy or roles.

What does auth include in useDeploy?

useDeploy uses BetterAuth for sessions, 2FA, magic links and password reset, with organizations, members, invitations, roles and permissions on top.

Better Auth with Prisma or Drizzle?

MakerKit offers both. useDeploy uses Prisma. ixartz Max, AnotherWrapper and MkSaaS use Drizzle. Pick the ORM your team already knows; the kit's auth wiring is built around its choice.
