COMPARE / SHIPFAST VS MAKERKIT

ShipFast vs MakerKit

ShipFast is the cheaper, faster route to a solo launch; MakerKit costs more and is built around team accounts and AI agents. Neither generally refunds once you have access.

These two sit at opposite ends of the same shelf: a launch-weekend kit and a team-ready kit. This page lines them up using what each site says as of November 2026, then says where useDeploy fits if neither does.

Who each one is for

The honest split is solo launch against team product. Watch the update terms too: ShipFast Starter at $199 does not include lifetime updates, All-in at $249 does, while every MakerKit tier includes continuous updates for the stack you bought.

  • ShipFast: you are launching a small product alone, want the lowest entry price ($199, or $249 All-in if you want the Discord and lifetime updates), and do not need team accounts.
  • MakerKit: you are building a multi-user product, want team accounts, an MCP server and agent rules, and prefer a choice of stacks (Supabase, or Better Auth with Drizzle or Prisma).
  • Either one: you accept that neither generally refunds once access is granted and want a one-time price, not a subscription.

ShipFast vs MakerKit — FAQ

Is ShipFast cheaper than MakerKit?+
At the entry level, yes: ShipFast Starter is $199 against MakerKit Pro at $299 as of November 2026. But Starter leaves out lifetime updates; ShipFast All-in is $249 and includes them. Compare All-in at $249 against Pro at $299 for a like-for-like read.
Which one handles teams and multi-tenancy?+
MakerKit pitches secure multi-tenancy and team accounts as its core. ShipFast does not list multi-tenancy among the features on its pricing page.
Which payment providers do they support?+
ShipFast lists Stripe and Lemon Squeezy; MakerKit lists Stripe and Polar, with no MercadoPago on either list.
Can I get a refund from either?+
Not in general. ShipFast says it cannot refund or exchange once access is granted, and MakerKit generally cannot offer refunds once access is redeemed. Read each seller’s terms before you pay.

And if neither fits?

If you want something between a launch-weekend kit and a $299 team kit, there is a third option. useDeploy is a TypeScript SaaS boilerplate (Next.js and Express on Bun, Prisma, BetterAuth) with multi-tenancy, RBAC and ESLint-enforced architecture layers, sold as a one-time $99 Founder or $199 Lifetime license with a 14-day refund. Polar billing is complete. MercadoPago takes one-time payments through Checkout Pro. Subscriptions are not available yet, and the Stripe adapter is a scaffold that does not charge yet. It is also younger: the community is smaller, so if you need Nuxt, a mobile app or a more established ecosystem, one of the kits above (TurboStarter for mobile) fits better.
